Questions concerning to Tours

What cloths and equipment are necessary during the tours?

We recommend a t-shirt, solid shoes, long sleeved pants, swimming suit and insect repellent as well as sun blocker during you stay at our resort. You have the opportunity to take a bath in our natural spring water pool and during the Canopy tour over 11 waterfalls.


Can I take a camera to the tours?

Yes, you can on your own responsibility! We recommend to store them in closable trouser pockets or bags so you don't loose them. We (Adventure Park and Hotel Vista Golfo) don't  be liable for any loss or damage!


What about the weather in the rainy season?

Our location area in Costa Rica corresponds to the transition forest and keeps the normal behavior of sunny mornings and first parts of the afternoons, with a little rain in the late afternoons, which makes possible to run our tours at 9 am and 11 am without any problems.


Which languages are spoken on the tours ?

All our tours are guided by English and Spanish speaking guides.


Are there recommendations for people with long hair?

If you participate in one of our Canopy Tours you need to make a short ponytail.


Is there the possibility to quit the Canopy early?

The Canopy Tour "Finca Daniel" can be left at any time. The Canopy Tour over 11 Waterfalls has to be finished as soon as you did the first cable.


Will I be charged if I am a Cruise Ship Passenger and my ship doesn't port in Caldera or Puntarenas at the tour date?

No, we don't charge any amount if you can't do the tour and the reason is not your fault.


At which time do the tours start for the Adventure Packages?

All the tours in combination with our Adventure Packages start at 9:00 am the next morning, only the Night Canopy Tour starts at 5:30 pm the same day as the stay.


How can I get or loose the discounts on my reservation?

Our reservation system and sales department at the Adventure Park, will always offer you discounts in group reservations, (12 people or more) when you do the reservation online or when you send us and email or at least call us to give us your name and tour's date, so you can keep the discount, but you will loose the option to get a  discount, when there is a third hand on the reservation, when somebody call or send an email for you to make the reservation, then you will pay the full amount.


DoubleTree Hotel Guests, or the whole Costa Rica, can call on a Free call from the local or public phones!

When you are staying at the Double Tree Resort by Hilton in Puntarenas or any other hotels in Costa Rica, and you do not have a phone with you, but still want to experience one of our tours, please look for a public phone or any local phone, and dial 1110, that one is the system where you can call without any charge. It is a Costarrican system so the instructios are going to be in Spanish in some phone will give you the option to choose the language, but do not worry, the first thing you will have to do after you called 1110 is our phone number (2639 9900) then you will be requested to say your name, right here, please say the keyword (Adventure Park Tours) and then your name, so we will accept your call, to make all the arrangements for your package and offer you all the discounts.


How to finish with the booking when I do not have a Pay Pal Account?

Our website's booking engine (system) will request besides the personal information to finish a reservation, will also request for a deposit of the corresponding 25%, to cover this deposit, the system will show only the option for PayPal, but please go ahead and continue because once the system will direct you to a secure page for PayPal, you will have two different options, the use of a PayPal account or when you do not have one, you can click on the option that says create a PayPal account, which is not really creating an account, what you will be doing is to make a formal registration on a secure page to include your credit card information and then to give the chance to the system to take down from your credit card account the corresponding deposit. Once this is done, you will receive on the emails a confirmation for your reservation and then everything will be done.


What is the Cancellation policy?

Deposit of the 25% from the total cost  will be charged to confirm your booking, and is non-refundable, but it will be a pleasure to keep your deposit for 1 year to use it prior notification in advance with the reasons to pospone the tour on the selected date.
