If you come to visit Costa Rica, make sure you do not miss this wonderful trip to the beautiful Island of Tortuga in the Gulf of Nicoya.

The journey starts at the pacific port of Puntarenas where you will get onto board of Calypso’s exclusive catamaran Manta Raya. The catamaran is equipped with an underwater viewing window, where you can watch the sea life without actually diving. It further has fresh water showers and a full bar. The spacious air conditioned main salon together with an expansive deck area and the two jacuzzis create an atmosphere of luxury and comfort and the crew will indulge you with fresh tropical fruits and drinks.

Once the cruise of the Manta Raya started, you will pass by lush mangroves, canneries and stilt houses. You will have the excellent opportunity to watch the ever changing panorama from the deck of the boat. In the morning the catamaran will pass by the islands of San Lucas, Gypsy, Sugar Loaf, Guayabo, Jesusita, Cedros and Negritos.

The final destination will be than the Island of Tortuga. Particularly enchanting for it's beauty, Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters, a perfect spot for swimming and snorkeling.

For passenger safety and convenience Manta Raya has a bow ramp which allows passengers to disembark directly onto the beach. You will there have the possibility to enjoy Calypso's famous lunch. Sip cold wine in the shade of white umbrellas at tables covered with white linen and be served the midday feast.

A sumptuous delight lunch previously featured in Gourmet Magazine, starts with an appetizer, followed by a medley of salads. The main dish is a delightful barbecue chicken breast covered in a mouthwatering tropical sauce accompanied with delicious vegetables. All of them prepared fresh on the grill by Calypso's expert crew.
