6 in 1 (Poas Volcano, Visit to a Butterfly Farm, Coffee Tour and Sarchi Shopping)
The Poas Volcano National Park. 2708 m above sea level. This is another great tour that starts with first stop, in a beautiful garden with some of the most beautiful butterflies in the country the blue and owl morpho butterflies. As well as a magnificent garden, that will give you the chance to take great pictures. After this strategical stop, then we go along some coffee plantations and sugar cane fields that lead us to our following stop.
To Alajuela city, which has one of the most remarkable and historical parks in Costa Rica, The Juan Santamaria. That corresponds to the national hero from the Rivas battle in April 11th 1856. A young, drummer man. Who sacrificed his life, for ensuring the liberty, freedom, and the sovereignty of our beautiful country Costa Rica.
After this interesting station, we will be heading up in the mountains to finally get to Poas Volcano National Park, where we will do an informative hiking through this cloud forest trails, to get right over the border and observation point. One of the biggest craters in the world (1.32 km diameter), then we could go to the Botos lagoon, another spectacular attraction of the park.
The guide will explain you about the history of the coffee in our land and the chance of visiting a coffee factory including a totally interesting coffee tour. As soon as we ended the coffee tour, we continued our way to Grecia. There is the metal church city. This temple is a one of a kind, original, peculiar, and a popular building constructed in metallic structure. After this visit to Grecia, we will head back to Sarchi.
Sarchi. “The cradle of the craft”. There we have the chance to see the biggest oxcart in the World, the one that holds a Guinness book Record. In this colorful town, we will visit an oxcart factory, one of the oldest ones in Costa Rica, where a pretty old waterwheel amazing system generates energy for the machines, still in use to run the factory. So it would be completely possible to be a real witness of what our grandparents used to build these magnificent working tools that are nowadays part of most expensive pieces of history in Costa Rica and Central America. Once finished with the oxcart factory and the souvenir area; we will be driving to our next stop.
Note: The weather conditions to see the volcano may vary day to day. But in the other hand, the trip itself is worthy due its nature and cultural content.

A very important National Parks of Costa Rica, National Parks system protected areas. So we encourage you to try to go first to see this wonder of nature, before the weather conditions change.
